Marketing Coordinator — New York

Studio Gang is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our talented Marketing & Communications team full-time in our New York office. The Marketing Coordinator will work collaboratively with the members of the Marketing & Communications team to enhance the visibility of the Studio and its leadership in strategic ways. The Marketing Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to lead the Studio’s bid and proposal efforts from start to finish with a keen graphic sensibility and strategic written content. They will also support a range of promotional and business development initiatives, from producing awards submissions to drafting copy for the firm’s social media and maintaining project data.

The role requires a responsible individual who is comfortable managing multiple deadlines through proactive communication and efficient project management. The ideal candidate will also possess a keen graphic sensibility, and strong writing skills. They will also bring a comfort with architectural procurement processes and will look forward to bringing their talents to a mission-driven, leading creative practice.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
• Under the direction of the Marketing Director, producing brochures, portfolios, qualifications packages, project proposals, and external presentations with strong strategic content that clearly communicate the Studio’s values and differentiators.
• As part of the Marketing team, preparing Go No Go materials for Studio Partners by joining intake calls, researching clients, producing new project summaries, and making strategic recommendations.
• Researching architectural awards programs and coordinating awards submissions.
• Updating and maintaining marketing assets such as studio diagrams, project data, and submission records.
• Monitoring the shared Marketing inbox, responding promptly to inquiries and forwarding along correspondence to relevant members of the Studio Gang team.
• Monitoring external bid portals for relevant proposal opportunities.
• Supporting competition teams with text and graphic support and outlining deliverables.
• Supporting Digital Communications Manager with the production of social media content.
• With Archivist and Librarian, supporting the continuing development of a project documentation system to gather public-ready materials efficiently.
• As part of the Marketing & Communications team, supporting the team’s Broader BD and promotional initiatives, such as organizing speaking engagements and tours, coordinating photography, drafting website updates, relaunching the Studio’s website, and other activities as needed.
• Supporting transition to and maintenance of marketing collateral and data in systems such as OpenAsset, Deltek, and ConstantContact.

Requirements
• 2-3 years of A/E industry experience in a marketing or communications-focused role
• Bachelor’s degree or above in architecture, design, marketing, communications, or equivalent
• Strong organizational and management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required
• Candidates with proficiency in French strongly encouraged to apply

Studio Gang’s compensation packages reflect our commitment to offering fair wages that are benchmarked against market standards and cost of living benchmarks, as well as firmwide pay equity initiatives. The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $60,000 - $75,000 per year. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Designer – Chicago or New York

Studio Gang is seeking a full-time, intermediate level Designer to join our team in New York and Chicago. Designers at Studio Gang assist with all phases of project design, from conceptual design to construction administration. Designers perform work on defined segments of a project under the direct supervision of experienced Project Leaders.

Responsibilities
• Organize information into design proposals through iterative sketching, modeling, diagramming, rendering, and written language.
• Seek creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develop associated research and documentation.
• Contribute to, and potentially manage aspects of, the planning, design, coordination, and documentation of the assigned project.
• Produce coordinated design and construction drawings, documents, and specifications.
• Conduct material research and prepare material boards and samples for review.
• Actively contribute to meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Observe construction progress to facilitate the completion of projects in accordance with design intent and technical requirements.
• Participate in shop drawing and sample review.
• Assist in the preparation of punch lists and field observation.
• Work collaboratively with the project team and provide mentorship to colleagues.
• Engage the life of the Studio through task forces, events, research, and mentorship.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Architecture with at least 3-5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong knowledge in Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D rendering software
• Prior experience fabricating physical models is required
